But, one, I had to share my great news that, after seven months, I'm finally stable on Coumadin! My nurse called on Friday to tell me that I've had my fifth therapeutic INR in a row which means I can finally go to getting my blood checked once a month instead of every week or two. Which is great because my veins are freekishly small and having to get poked so often -- and frequently multiple times in order to get the precious blood -- really, truly sucks (I always joke that I'd make a crappy heroin addict). Plus, it makes me a bit more mobile, i.e. once I feel well enough I can get on a plane and go visit my sister in Baltimore for a few weeks or A. in England.
Two, after my last post I had to share that someone found my blog googling "barack obama wahabbist school" (as well as "perfume urine nuns" -- huh?). I clicked on the link to the Goggle search and came across a link to RightNation.us, American's #1 Conservative Community, where I laughed my ass off at the thread about Barak Obama being a stealth Muslim.

One reason I don't have any doubts about his phony story as well as the implications from it is, he has never been condemned by ANY Muslim whether NOI, or the cult of the middle east for his so-called 'conversion'. According to Islams mandate, his family is guilty of Apostasy, and at the minimum they would shun him if not kill him and his mother. The fact they are eagerly welcomed by the Muslim community tells me he's likely their 'Manchurian' candidate. Here's hoping a similar fate awaits the entire family!Those sneaky Muslims have no shame! So smart and -- wait, I thought they were too emotional and childish to be smart? I mean, that's why they need our help to develop a government and our -- oops, I meant, their oil fields. (Gawd, can't ya just feel the love and peace there?)
Note: There are no 'practicing' devout moderate Muslims. A moderate Muslim is one who doesn't follow the faith, but does not disavow it, or openly convert to another faith out of fear.
Ah, so all those Muslims I met at the mosque praying who were pro-choice or thought Osama Bin Laden was evil were just faking it. How canny you are, Mr. Conservative-who-hasn't-stepped-inside-a-mosque-a-day-in-his-life!
As for the numbers of these people, judging from news reports, videos of the 'people' on the streets of the 'Muslim world', the so-called minority of radical Jihadi's out-number the true number of 'moderate' muslim members of the world community 100,000 fold.
And so scientific too!

Clearly his belief that we need to redeploy out of Iraq is part of a secret plot to set up a new caliphate in Iraq!!! Once he is elected president he'll whip out his Q'ran that he's been hiding in his secret lair/mosque, swear his oath, and then he'll immediately make Wahabbist Islam the official religion of the US, enact martial law, and start the forced conversions!

First, it makes little difference to me who the "Arab and Muslim streets" considers Muslim. The Arab street also thinks that the Holocaust never occurred but that it sounds like a nifty idea

There is a very simple question which someone needs to put to Obama, not that I think anyone will ask it or that he would answer honestly.
"Are you a Christian and have you confessed that you are a sinner and have accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour" ?
Anyone can attend church and profess to be a Christian without acknowledging Christ as their Saviour. So far as I know a muslim would be presented with a serious problem in answering this question honestly. Of course Barak could cross his fingers and lie. That would be the muslim way after all.

Yes, that's right. I went to Islamic school when I was an undergraduate in order to learn what Muslims really believe (though, apparently, the good folks at RightNation.us know far more than my Muslim teachers did).
Wow. Seriously. All I can say is...wow. And we think Muslims are all simplistic and brainwashed?
Apparently I'm not the only one who has come across this fear-mongering. Christopher Hays over at The Nation also posted the email that began the thread at RightNation.us. And he correctly points out that "madrassa" does not mean "terrorist training school" but rather an Islamic school in the same way that yeshiva is a religious school for Jews. Madrasa means "school" in Arabic, as in roht 'ila al-madrasa fi Milwaukie, Oregon -- "I went to school in Milwaukie, Oregon."
And hey, who knows? Maybe the commenter who said he/she was was googling Obama's going to a madrassa was the one who found his/her way to my blog, where apparently I've been discussing a new perfume all the nuns are wearing -- Le Urine...
